You should park your motorbike at home in a dry, well-ventilated room with a constant temperature - especially in winter. A good choice could be a weather-protected shed, a carport or a garage that is not excessively warm. Ideally, the space should be lockable and protected from prying eyes so that thieves can't even notice your machine.

You have various options for additionally securing your shed, garage or cellar. Classic padlocks offer a solid security solution for doors and gates. If you prefer more modern technology, the ABUS EVEROX One could be the right choice. With this smart padlock, you don't need a key, instead it is simply opened via your smartphone's Bluetooth connection.

Use wall-ground anchors to increase protection

You should secure your machine to a stable object using a high-quality additional lock - such as a lock and chain combination or a U-lock.  Unfortunately, suitable connection options are not available everywhere.

In such cases, wall-ground anchors can offer a solution. A wall-ground anchor is firmly anchored into the wall or suitable floor using special plugs and therefore offers an extremely high level of theft protection. Wall-ground anchors are available in versions with and without a chain.

Rely on video surveillance Everything in sight

If your motorbike is parked under the carport or in the garage and you can't keep an eye on it all the time, you can get technical helpers to assist you. Surveillance cameras allow you to keep an eye on your motorbike at all times or to control access to the carport or garage.

Video surveillance systems can make a decisive contribution to protecting your valuable two-wheelers. Here are three reasons why you should invest in video surveillance:

1.Deterring thieves: Visible cameras act as a deterrent to potential thieves. If thieves see that your property is being monitored, they may refrain from attempting theft and look for easier prey.

2. Evidence: In the event of theft, video recordings provide valuable evidence. The stored recordings can help the police to identify perpetrators and contribute to the recovery of stolen motorbikes.

3. Surveillance of key areas: Video surveillance in the garage, carport and entrance area allows you to keep an eye on critical areas. You can access live images or recordings at any time and ensure that everything is in order.
