ABUS free gift promotion
The most important things at a glance:
- Purchase a promotional product and activate it for the first time in the ABUS One app within the promotional period (01/02/2025 - 30/04/2025). The promotional products are available from participating retailers in Germany and the promotion is only valid for participants in Germany (shipping address and activation location of the device).
- To activate the promotional product, you must download the ABUS One app and create an ABUS One account. Register yourself and your purchased promotional product in the ABUS One app and complete the activation of the device. You will need the keycard number supplied with the device.
- After activating the promotional product in the ABUS One app, fill out the form on the ABUS website [ https://abus.info/one-bundles] to register for the free gift. You will need the keycard number supplied with the device and the email address you used to register in the ABUS One app.
- After checking that all the conditions of the promotion have been met, you will receive the free gift associated with your promotional device directly from ABUS.
- Important: Participation in the promotion is only possible in your own name and per person after registration in the ABUS One app and on the ABUS website https://abus.info/one-bundles and once per product. Each key card number can only take part in the promotion once. The promotion only applies to new products.
- Please note that the total number of entries for the free gift promotion is limited and is only valid while stocks last.
- The closing date for registration in the ABUS One app and activation of the device is 30.04.2025. The closing date for submitting the form on the ABUS website to request your free gift is 15.05.2025. If you have any questions about the registration and form process, our customer service can be contacted at any time via kundenservice@abus.de.
- The free gift cannot be paid out in cash, collected by the customer or exchanged.
A. Who is the organiser of the campaign?
- The campaign is organised and carried out for participants in Germany by ABUS August Bremicker Söhne KG, Altenhofer Weg 25, 58300 Wetter ("ABUS").
- ABUS is the controller within the meaning of Article 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- You will find the contact details of ABUS at the end of these conditions of participation.
B. Which products are covered by the promotion?
The promotion gives you the opportunity to receive a free bonus product ("free gift") associated with your promotional product after purchasing certain ABUS products. The following products ("promotional products") are taking part in this promotion:
- ABUS WINTECTO One (FCA4100)
- ABUS LOXERIS One (CFA4100)
- HomeTec Pro Tastatur (CFT3100), if both of the aforementioned products have also been activated in the ABUS One app
"Refurbished" products, B-goods or used goods are expressly excluded from the promotion!
The promotional products and free gifts are only available while stocks last.
The promotion applies to the initial registration of purchased ABUS promotional products in the ABUS One app between 1 February 2025 and 30 April 2025 ("promotion period").
C. Who can participate in the campaign?
You can take part in the campaign if you
- are end consumers, over 18 years of age and resident in Germany,
- have an e-mail address and
- Have an internet-enabled end device with which you can use the ABUS One app.
Each keycard associated with a purchased promotional product can only be registered once.
D. How can you become a participant in the campaign?
To take part in the promotion, you must
- have purchased a promotional product online or in a bricks-and-mortar shop and have the corresponding keycard,
- install and open the ABUS One app on your smartphone/tablet/computer and activate the promotional device in the ABUS One app for the first time during the promotional period from 1 February 2025 to 30 April 2025 using a keycard
- fill in the form matching your purchased promotional device activated in the ABUS One app on the promotional page and
- Your e-mail address with which your action device is registered in the ABUS One app and other data (name and address).
- By clicking on the "Order now" button and submitting the form to finalise your participation, you also accept these conditions of participation.
We will confirm the successful completion of the order process by e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided.
The order process can be completed until 15 May 2025, 23:59 ("closing date"). However, if the stock of goods for the free gift has already been exhausted before the deadline, the promotion will be ended prematurely.
You will then also receive an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided to confirm the free gift and dispatch.
The transfer of ownership of the free gifts is subject to the condition precedent that (if the customer has a right of cancellation) no cancellation has been declared and the cancellation period has expired with regard to the item whose purchase was a prerequisite for the granting of the free item. Therefore, if a cancellation has been declared with regard to the item(s) that is/are a prerequisite for the granting of the free item, the free gift must also be returned to ABUS.
E. Further important information and disclaimer
Disclaimer:
ABUS shall be liable in accordance with the statutory provisions (i) in the event of intent and gross negligence, (ii) in accordance with the provisions of the applicable product liability laws and (iii) in the event of injury to life, limb or health of a person.
In the event of property damage and financial loss caused by negligence, ABUS shall only be liable in the event of a breach of a material contractual obligation, but the amount shall be limited to the damage foreseeable and typical for the contract at the time of conclusion of the contract; material contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment characterises the contract and on which the customer may rely.
The above limitations of liability shall also apply in the event of fault on the part of a vicarious agent of ABUS as well as for the personal liability of employees, representatives and bodies of ABUS and for claims for reimbursement of expenses.
Abuse and fraud: Actions like these can lead to abuse and fraud attempts.
Participation using fake identities or third-party identities is not permitted. Automated participation (e.g. via participation and entry services) is not permitted. Fraud through website hacking, use of automation software, exploitation of software bugs, etc. will result in the participant being excluded.
We also reserve the right to exclude any participant from the promotion if there is a suspicion that false information has been provided during participation, an attempt has been made to manipulate the promotion or these conditions of participation have been violated in any other way. In this case, you will be informed separately. You can prove to us that there has been no breach of the conditions of participation in your case.
F. What is the next step?
ABUS will send you the free gift after successfully checking your eligibility for the promotion.
In this context
- ABUS will send you an e-mail confirming your free gift to the e-mail address you have provided; this usually takes place within two working days of receipt of the information and
- ABUS will send you the free gift free of charge to the delivery address you specify. You will receive a confirmation as soon as the free gift has been sent to the delivery address you specified.
G. What is your personal data used for?
We process your personal data in order to carry out the campaign. The processing of your personal data is carried out by ABUS as the controller within the meaning of Article 4 (7) GDPR.
You can contact ABUS with all questions and concerns relating to the processing of your personal data. We have set up a special e-mail address to simplify the processing of such questions and concerns. This can be found at the end of these conditions of participation in section I.
What personal data is processed? The personal data required for the campaign ("campaign data") are
- First name and surname
- Address
- E-mail address
- Delivery address, if different from address
- Key card number
For what purposes and on what legal basis is the processing carried out? The campaign data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the campaign. Among other things, we process the campaign data to determine whether you are eligible to participate and to send you the campaign products.
Consent: Insofar as you are given the opportunity on the campaign website or in another way in connection with the campaign to give your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR (in particular to receive information about ABUS by e-mail), the granting of this consent is voluntary and has no effect on participation in the campaign. You can revoke your consent in whole or in part at any time without giving reasons (e.g. by e-mail to the campaign e-mail address given below or in any other way via the contact options listed below).
How long is personal data stored? The campaign data will be stored for a period of three months after the closing date for entries for the operational processing of the campaign. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer data, your data will be blocked with regard to retention periods under tax and commercial law and deleted after expiry of these periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to further use of your data as permitted by law, about which we inform you in this privacy policy. If you have given your consent, the data covered by the consent will generally be stored until you withdraw your consent.
H. What rights are you entitled to?
You can request information about the personal data stored about you, request the correction, deletion or restriction of incorrect, outdated or superfluous data and ask us to send you your data in a format that can be transferred to other service providers. If your consent is the legal basis for the processing of personal data, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future. We will then delete your data. And in cases where our processing of your personal data is based on legitimate business interests (i.e. where we have a legitimate reason to do so), you can object to the processing. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority responsible for the respective controller.
