The weak points in the house: protect yourself against burglary

Burglars often use unsecured or easy-to-open windows, especially on the ground floor or accessible upper floors. Windows account for 31.9% of burglaries and French doors, such as patio doors, for 48.4%.

Unsecured garage doors or windows often provide an easy way to break into a house. Once in the garage, burglars can try to gain access to the inside of the house from there.

Cellar windows are often less visible and may be less secure than windows in other parts of the house. Burglars may try to use these windows to break into the house.
